Two of us out on the track today; Spiller and Marc. A good day was had by both guys, with some valuable experience of the Mallory Circuit gained.
Improved technique was certainly visible on both guys, and Spiller was on the up and up until a technical fault forced the last sessions to be very short indeed.
The weather was very kind, a forecast of rain turned out to be nothing more than a few spots - the day was thoroughly a worthwhile experience and I feel that we'll be coming back to Mallory again very soon! |

Well that was one seriously wet track day!
Nevertheless we had a good day, getting in some wet weather practice. Unfortunately we didn't have any wet tyres so we had to make do with *some* traction loss - Spiller suffered greatly with the exit of Britten's, rear wheel sliding all over the place as he went over Hill top; and Samo had to use the run-off at Knickerbrook due to locking the rear wheel before Hislop's!
Good news though, a couple of dry hours meant at least one session had a dry line, and we had the entire day with no crashes (from us). Unfortunately Lodge still caught out several people and one poor soul had a serious crash at Druids, spilling fuel and oil on the track. Even after they had spent 2 hours cleaning it up, the entire afternoon was spent tiptoeing aroud the double apex.
As our first Hottrax day I was quite impressed with the whole organisation - nice folks and everything was handled smoothly. I think there's going to be another at Mallory on the 31st, but more on that later. |

After the previous cancellation, we've booked ourselves in at Oulton Park on Tuesday the 14th.
Hopefully it will stay dry this time! |

We hope to be attending a track day at Cadwell this Thursday (26th July), weather permitting of course.
If you want to come and meet us, look out for us in the novice session!
UPDATE:
As it's going to be raining all day, we've cancelled the track day - I think we would all ride in the sun than spend the day getting wet... after all we don't have to go to Cadwell to ride around in the rain!
With the weather set to improve over the coming weeks, I'm sure we'll be doing another day soon. |

I guess we should hold back on the champagne as nothing has actually been sold yet, but our first item is now on eBay. Hopefully it will sell due to the low price, there's no MOT or tax but that's why we've priced it so low - with another bike waiting to be worked on it would seem that we should move on from this one. With it being the first bike it's hard to see it there waiting to be sold - but as long as it goes to a good home then we will all be happy.
